EU Right of Withdrawal

This page explains the statutory right of withdrawal available to consumers purchasing Crucial products online within the European Union.

Your Right to Withdraw

If you are purchasing as a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, subject to certain exceptions.

For purchases of goods, the withdrawal period generally expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

Where an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the withdrawal period may run from the day on which the final item is received, where applicable.

How to Exercise Your Right

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw before the withdrawal period expires.

You can do this by contacting us with a clear statement confirming your decision to withdraw, by using the EU Model Withdrawal Form below, or through our online withdrawal function where available.

You do not have to use the Model Withdrawal Form.

Returning Your Goods

Once you have informed us of your decision to withdraw, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.

Please contact us before returning any goods so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

Unless otherwise stated, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

We recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service and retaining proof of dispatch until your return has been completed.

Condition of Returned Goods

You may inspect the goods as you reasonably would in a shop.

You may be responsible for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where possible, goods should be returned with their original packaging and all components supplied with them.

Refunds

Where you validly exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will reimburse payments received from you in accordance with applicable law, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option offered for your order.

If you selected an enhanced or express delivery service that was more expensive than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in certain circumstances provided for by law.

This may include goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Your rights in relation to goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise not in conformity with the contract are separate from your right of withdrawal and are not affected by this section.
